LiveStream

For people unable to physically attend a funeral, Live Stream gives them the opportunity to view in real time, online, from anywhere in the world. The audio video is then available to view, at leisure, for a couple of months.

The site is secure and only accessible by a dedicated link.

How does it work?

Days before the funeral, we will email you an established link for you to share with trusted friends and family, with the following message:

Here is the LiveStream link for the funeral of Jonathan Dough on Wednesday, 3rd May 2026 at 3.00pm.

You just need to click on the link – you do not need to subscribe or download anything.

If for any reason you are unable to watch it ‘live’ you can use the same link for access at a more convenient time, for up to three months. There is also an option to download the video permanently – simply click on the download arrow symbol and choose your resolution.

Conscious of privacy, we do not recommend making the link generally accessible to the public through social media or a newspaper notice, as so much personal information is shared at a funeral.

To mitigate this, we can use our email address in the newspaper notice for those requesting the link.

BroadMedia

In Wellington, we recommend BroadMedia for their faultless audio-visual production quality, their professionalism and service delivery. With two (or three) camera options, their technicians are experienced and discreet. They are also the ‘go to’ people should you need any extra ‘tech-spertise’

Video Tributes

For those who have been asked to speak at the funeral but are unable to attend, we suggest a pre-recorded audio or video message is emailed through a couple of days before the funeral (use either MP3 or MP4 formats) The message can then be played through the venue’s audio visual system.
